Union Chapel School along with 9 others from Eastern India entered into a research based project on water quality in Eastern India along with University of Kentucky USA on July 2017. The project carried on for a year with Union Chapel School selecting the Circular Canal as their research water body. They collected samples, tested it in the School laboratory with help of special water testing kit provided by Association of Social and Environmental Development and shared their research findings and report with their partner (Woodstock school) in Kentucky. The project concluded in June 2018 with the final reporting and exhibition held at the American Center in Kolkata. Dr. Carol Hanley, the project director from the University of Kentucky was much impressed with Union Chapel School’s final presentation in the exhibition at American Center. It was a huge learning experience for the 30 students who participated in the project along with teachers Mrs. Meenakshi Bose and Mr. Ravindra Samuel Apte. We thank the unending support of our Principal Mrs. Angela Ghose for her overall support and active involvement without which this project would not have been successful.
