Sony BBC Earth
27th January- Sony BBC Earth- They organised ‘ Feel Alive Hours’ in school and it was a factual show in which they showed various experiments to bring children closer to nature and sensitize them to the importance of the natural world and encourage them to adopt and advocate sustainable living in a fun and engaging manner. The programme ended with a quiz in which students received prizes.
One Nation Reading
24th January- One Nation Reading by Scholastic- A reading programme was organised in the school premise. This initiative was taken by Scholastic to inculcate reading habit among children. Students of Class VI recited the poem, The Charge of the Light Brigade, with a lot of gusto. Students of Class VII joyfully recited the narrative poem, The Monkey and the Crocodile by Vikram Seth. Our dear Arijit Mukherjee of Class VII recited the poem How Beautiful is the Rain by H. W.Longfellow. Students of Class VIII recited the poem The Oyster while the students of Class IX recited the poem The Television by Roald Dahl.
Essay Competition
23rd January- Heartfulness Essay Competition- 4 children participated in the essay writing competition and received awards at the Heartfulness Meditation Centre. Our honourable Governor Shri. Jagdeep Dhankar graced the occasion and motivated the children with his inspirational speech.
